Friendship Place’s Walk to End Homelessness
As many of you know, Church of the Pilgrims has been supporting Friendship Place and its mission to end homelessness in the DC metro area for over 30 years. I have been Pilgrims’ representative to the Congregations Committee at FP as well as an active Board member for the past 8 years. I’m truly passionate about the amazing work they do and the progress they are making.
For that reason, I’m sponsoring a “Church of the Pilgrims” team for the annual Friendship Place Walk on Saturday, April 29. The walk kicks off at 11:00 AM with registration opening at 9:30 AM. I’m looking for walkers and/or donations. It’s a fun morning out at the reflecting pool and Lincoln Memorial. There are T-shirts, snacks, entertainment, dogs and kids and it’s not a very long walk! The link to sign up to donate or join the pilgrims’ team is below. If you’d like more information please contact me: Mitch Fulton at home.onthehill@verizon.net Thanks!
